The Samaná Peninsula is a beautiful blend of land and sea, with coconut-palms covering the tropical rainforests and sloping down towards remote white-sand beaches. Less populated and developed than other vacation hubs in the Dominican Republic, Samana is a small town on a beautiful and quiet bay. The community is known for its eco-excursions, including trips to local waterfalls in the nearby jungle, whale-watching expeditions, and fishing tours.
